Today I wrote a short comment on Audrey Nowacek’s blog complementing her research skills. In the post, she described two articles about emperor penguins and the reasons why they huddle.

I then logged on to Twitter or X and followed some random researches that popped up in the feed. They must have been pretty forgettable since I can’t remember a single one of their names or what they do, but they seemed vaguely relevant to this class. For my “original” posts, I sent out some links to articles I had been reading in The Atlantic. One of them was about the expanding understanding of animal conscious and the other was yet another reminder of the complexities found within animal behaviour, specifically with regard to play. I really like this magazine because the topics they discuss are always very creative and interesting, and they seem to make very convincing arguments. Plus it makes me feel smart.
